Shengyang Optics won first place in the 2023 "Maker Guangdong" Zhuhai Small and Medium sized Enterprise Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

On July 13, 2023, the final of the "Maker Guangdong" Zhuhai Small and Medium sized Enterprise Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Zhuhai. The theme of this competition is "Maker Guangdong Craftsmanship South Guangdong", guided by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and the Guangdong Provincial Department of Finance, hosted by the Zhuhai Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and the People's Government of Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai, and organized by the Science and Technology and Industrial Information Bureau of Xiangzhou District and the Small and Medium sized Enterprise Service Center of Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai. The competition aims to further stimulate the innovation and entrepreneurship vitality of small and micro enterprises and makers, create a good atmosphere for mass entrepreneurship and innovation, and inject new momentum into promoting the development of Zhuhai's "industry first" and accelerating the construction of a new engine for high-quality development in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area and a new important growth pole in the province.

This competition is the seventh year of the "Maker Guangdong" competition held in Zhuhai. It has attracted 536 companies and maker teams from all over the country to sign up for the competition, including 339 corporate teams and 197 maker teams. It involves new generation information technology, smart home appliances, new materials, semiconductors and integrated circuits, intelligent manufacturing, robotics, biopharmaceuticals and health, new energy, and other fields, setting a record for the largest scale of previous competitions.

On the final stage, 12 projects launched the "Huashan Debate" of technological innovation. Each enterprise and team provided comprehensive explanations on project creativity, market prospects, risk analysis, financing plans, team composition, etc. The "Ultra Short Focus Lens" project of Shengyang Optics was unanimously recognized by the judging panel experts and won the first place in the enterprise group.
